These Terms govern your use of SightReadle at playsightreadle.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
1. The Service
SightReadle lets you build a personal library of sheet music, read and annotate it, turn pages hands-free, and play a daily sight-reading challenge. Features may change over time.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information when signing up, and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised.
3. Your content and responsibilities
You may import PDF files and other material into your library. You keep ownership of anything you import. You grant us a limited license to store your files and display them back to you in order to operate the Service (for example, syncing them to your other devices).
You represent that you have the right to store and use any material you import, and that doing so does not infringe anyone's copyright or other rights. Imported files are stored privately for your own personal use; the Service is not a means to publish or distribute copyrighted material to others.
4. Acceptable use
- Use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Don't upload unlawful or infringing content, and don't use the Service to share copyrighted material with others.
- Don't attempt to breach, probe, or disrupt the Service's security or infrastructure, or access other users' data.
5. Catalog content
The pieces we offer in the in-app catalog are drawn from public-domain sources and are provided on an "as is" basis. We don't guarantee that transcriptions, editions, or metadata are complete or error-free.
6. Intellectual property
The Service itself — including its software, design, and branding — belongs to us and is protected by applicable law. These Terms don't grant you rights to it beyond using the Service as intended.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will always be preserved — please keep your own copies of files that matter to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the Service.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these Terms are violated or if needed to protect the Service or its users.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in New York shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.
